With the Asus Transformer Prime on its way to Asus partners, reviewers of the device are already saying it’ll be perhaps the best Android tablet on the market, and maybe even the best tablet to date. With only the major technology reviewers having had access to the Prime for a short time, we’ve yet to see if the crazy news stories about it being able to top the ipad2 in sales are true. While the numbers are absolutely astonishing so far, we’ll need to see how the consumers feel about it. If they’re anything like me, they’ll scoop these up in seconds.

The biggest feature of the Prime is the new Tegra 3 quad-core processor from Nvidia, which promises to bring the smoothest gaming and user experience out of any tablet out there. It also weighs much less than any tablet, including the ipad2. In addition, the Prime also has the highest resolution out of any screen seen on tablets.

These are the reasons why everyone is truly excited to see the Prime hit store shelves. If you’ve been waiting to delve into the tablet market, this might be the perfect time to do so. Not only that, the price is just as great as the hardware, as you can grab a 32 gig Prime for $499 and a 64 gig tablet for $599, which is the same price as the ipad2, even though the Prime trumps Apple’s tablet in every category. One might argue that the operating systems really set these two apart, but once the Prime receives the promised Ice Cream Sandwich update, which is Android’s newest version of its operating system, that debate may no longer be existent.

One of the other incredibly introductions to the Prime lineup was its accessories. Like something we’ve never seen before, you can get a dock that transforms the Prime into a laptop, with an extended battery and full keyboard to boot. With the already outstanding battery life of the Prime with its stock battery, it’s truly remarkable if the tablet achieves probably another seven hours of life with the dock.

With the Asus Transformer Prime nearly here, you can bet that people will be lining up to get their hands on this wonderful piece of technology. The best part about this? You can be sure that competitors are already scrambling to create quad-core tablets to compete with the prime. This is a great time to be in the market for a tablet!
