LG Flash Mob- The Real ‘Reality Show’!
This is true that Indian movie world has experienced a lot change and it has become more realistic in the course of time. However, it is still quite different from the real life. Can you imagine a situation when you are proposing your girl in presence of background dancers, with a loud music and the public present there cheering for you? This can happen on the reel life only, isn’t it? No, you are totally wrong, this was a real life situation, experienced by two real life persons.

A few weeks, there was a campaign organized by LG World Records, which gave the chance to a normal life guy to play the role of a movie hero. Until that day, he was a regular guy with a normal life, until when he proposed the girl of his life for marriage. The campaign was held in total secrecy and the whole crowd present there was amazed by this sudden flash mob. People got to know the fact only when the video went viral on internet.
What Happened Actually?
The day was 6th October 2012, and the place was the busy Ambience Mall, located in Gurgaon, Haryana. It was a usual day inside the mall, everything was going quite casually. Then, all of a sudden a heavy music starts playing and a group of dancers appears on the floor. A person leads the dance group and then he proposes a girl for marriage, in front of the crowd.
Usually, when such activities are organized, people get a sense that something is going to happen there. Actually, this is the specialty of a flash mob, it just occurs all of a sudden. The boy playing the leading role was Karan Arora from Delhi and he proposed his girlfriend Pooja Basara during the campaign.
The idea of the flash mob started when Karan posted in the LG World Record forum, an online forum initiated by LG India. There, he posted that he wants to propose hi girlfriend Pooja. This discussion gave rise to the idea of a flash mob, which was brought in reality by the efforts of mainly by Sherlock, Greg and Joy, the men behind LGWR.

How It Got Huge?
The flash mob video of the proposal carried by LG was uploaded on the internet. It took no time for this video to go viral. There are some reasons for this. Looking towards the recent viral videos, the success of this video can easily be understood.
First, the video was quite ordinary looking. Is a marriage proposal video is new to the Indian audience? No, of course not; almost every movie and television serials carry numbers of such proposals. Yet, it was a new thing for the people.
Second, the video was featured on two common people, so every have a chance to correlate him/her with the video. Moreover, the third point is that the video was quite simple and unique and hence people started liking it so much.

The Key Factors
There are some unique points about this flash mob. First, Indian people are not very familiar with the concept of flash mob. It was one of the most prominent reasons that the video went viral on the net. Second point is that, involvement of common public in such a way is a great sign from the corporate strategies. The initiative by LG India was indeed appreciable and the public have done an incredible job by appreciation such an activity, which made the video go viral.
This is a good sign that a change is coming into the Indian society and people are showing great response towards it. These new experiments should be carried very often and people should make great participations too. This will clear our minds from a great illusion, which surrounded us for all these years.
