There are many electronic items where their hype is a lot more than their actual quality. That is definitely not the case with the Samsung Galaxy Tab. This is one of the best seven inch tablets that is on the market and this makes the Galaxy Tab worth every penny of its asking price. Here is an overview of some of the features, pros, and cons of the Samsung Galaxy Tab. We will also look at why this device is a cut above the competition and about what exactly makes it so special.Samsung Galaxy Tab Technical Specs:

The Galaxy Tab comes with a 7 inch PLS TFT display screen, making it one of the sleekest devices that you can get in this size range. The great thing about the design is that it means the Tab is only 345 grams in weight, making it incredibly light. The measurements can be taken at 193.65 mm x 122.37 mm x 9.96 mm (h x w x d). There is a 3.5 mm earphone jack right at the top of the tab and the bottom of the tab is where the mice, speakers, and connectivity port are located.

On the left side of the tab, there is the micro SD card slot, the SIM card slot, and the infrared port. The right side has the volume bar that can be used to move the volume up and down. The only technical aspect that can be considered an issue is that this tablet’s battery cannot be removed. However, that is a current design in almost every tablet right now.

Camera:

The Samsung Galaxy Tab also has a solid camera. The camera is 3.15 mexapixels on the rear end and a 2 megapixel front camera. Some people might not be happy that the camera is not higher up, closer to the quality of cameras on the iPhone or the Galaxy S3. Video is also possible and that goes up to the 720p quality level.

Battery and Memory:

The Galaxy Tab has a 4000 mAh battery and it can survive 12 hours of use in almost any conditions. If videos are being played, then seven hours of battery life is expected. This means that one charge can comfortably last a day’s use.

This tablet has 1 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal memory. The micro SD slot allows for up to 32 GB of additional memory to be added.

Features and Interface:

The Galaxy Tab comes with the Android 3.2 OS, which is also known as Honeycomb. There is a Dual Core 1.2 GHz processor, which means this tablet will work very smoothly through almost all kinds of uses and applications. Viewing 1080p videos is also possible on this tablet.

In terms of features, all standard Android apps can be downloaded/bought through the Google Play store. This is a tablet that comes packed with some great features. Its battery life, sleekness, design, and hardware mean that it is a cut above many other similarly priced tablets that are on the market.
