You may have seen maps showing distribution of Facebook or Twitter users around the world. Igor Ljubuncic has created a map showing Linux users based on his envisions. It doesn’t show the actual popularity of Linux and its distribution. He calls it the Great Linux World Map and has tried to portray the world of the Linux desktop as a Typus Orbis Terarum.
Igor hasn’t given elaborate details on the map; he says that this Great Linux World Map is just a fun endeavor. He has used funny names on his map like Android Sea, The GNU Ocean, The Rogue State of Mint, Independent Republic of Fedora, The Readhat Commonwealth etc.
