I assume that you already run a blog. You might want to embed a list of interesting articles from your favorite blogs that you read off your Google reader. But updating a link to those posts every time from your blog’s admin can be a bit tedious. Well, if you use Google Reader as your feed reader, you can easily show your shared items on Google Reader in your blog.
Head over to Google Reader.  Now you’ll see a list of your subscriptions on the left hand side. Now as you read the articles, you’ll notice that the one that you are reading is outlined in blue while the others off the focus are outlined grey. When an item is under focus (i.e. outlined blue), press Shift+S or just click on the “share” button at the bottom of the item.  You can share any number of items you like. Once you share an item, you will see the “share” button convert to “unshare”.

Now go to your Google Reader’s settings page. Now click on “Folders and Tags” tab. Now for “Your shared items”, click on “Add a clip to your site”. A new window appears that lets you change the title, color scheme and the number of items to show in the widget. If you click on “Show item sources”, the source of the item will also be shown in the widget. After you select the required options, just copy the Javascript code and paste it on your blog or site where you like it to appear. Now when you open your site, you’ll see a list of your shared items on Google Reader in the clip or the widget. Once you copy the javascript code, the widget content gets automatically updated as you share new items on your Google Reader. Note that before moving to your settings page, share at least one item or you won’t be shown the Javascript code.

You can also add Google Reader’s starred items to your blog like you add shared items to it as said above. Just add star to your favorite items in Google Reader and go to the settings page. After that repeat the same as you did for Shared Items.
