Retweet buttons are seen in most of the websites these days. Its snappy to tweet a URL from the very site with the help of a retweet button. But sometimes, these buttons don’t function well and get sluggish at times. And some were unable to communicate with URL shortening services. Even the official tweet button by twitter takes a longer time to load. So, a faster loading retweet button of minimal type for a site would prove to be very fruitful.
Retweet buttons are clicked by a very few users compared to the whole bunch of the traffic. People might give up retweeting if the retweet popup takes a longer time to load or show up an error. This lightweight retweet button doesn’t load any scripts from other domains and doesn’t show anything unless its clicked. It also works with multiple URL shortening services but uses bit.ly by default. If it encounters error with bit.ly, it uses tinyurl for compression. You can also customize the way it looks. If the number of characters exceeds 140, it reformats. But the downside to this is that it doesn’t show the number of retweets as it makes no requests when the site loads. Here’s the faster loading retweet button.
