Yesterday I felt elated upon logging in to Techattitude’s Twitter account and seeing a small notification saying that the account had been activated for the New Twitter. The new interface is really stunning but still people would love to have a background theme for New Twitter. Techattitude doesn’t have many followers as of now so I was thinking earlier that the New Twitter would be activated for Techattitude only after it crosses a certain followers threshold. But the New Twitter activation for my account totally left me amazed and I later thought that maybe it was activated for all users. I also have another (kind of personal) Twitter account that I use off and on. So, I logged in to that but to my despair, it wasn’t yet enabled for the New Twitter. So, I wondered what kept it on the waiting list. Maybe it was the incomplete profile information.
I hadn’t filled up the profile section for my personal Twitter account. And the website section was also left empty. On the other hand the profile section of Techattitude’s Twitter account was complete with website and all. And there’s a link from Techattitude to its Twitter page as well(which could also be factor). My personal Twitter account currently has more followers than Techattitude but still the account wasn’t surpassed for the New Twitter interface. This lead me into believing that maybe the profile section determines whether an account is ready for the New Twitter. So if your profile section is incomplete, fill up the profile section of your Twitter account completely with website included and this could possibly activate the New Twitter for your account quicker.
