Documents are shared generally in formats like PDF or .doc over the internet. Generally we all have standalone software like Acrobat reader for viewing PDFs and Microsoft Office for viewing and modifying documents. But, documents on the web can also be viewed on your browser without having these software installed on your computer. Here are some options for viewing documents online or in your browser without installing any of these. Moreover, these don’t require sign-ups either.
Google Docs Viewer : Google Docs is one of the most popular cloud based document editors as known by all. Google Docs Viewer is a very easy tool to view documents online. Once you give the URL of the document to be read, it will give you options for viewing the document or embedding it. The Google Docs viewer is very simple but has options for page navigation, search etc. This tool is used by default for viewing attachments in Gmail.
Zoho document viewer: Zoho also a leader in providing web based documents and spreadsheets editing functionalities also has a very handy Zoho document viewer. Its document viewer is rather simple as compared with Google docs. To view any document, you can either give its URL or upload it from your computer. Zoho docs also gives an option for embedding the document via an iframe code.
Samurajdata Viewer: This is a very simple document viewer which also allows viewing a document on the internet via its URL or by uploading any document from your computer. This is open source as well and also lets anyone download it. Besides .doc files and PDFs, it also lets viewing Post Script and Gzipped Post script files which is rarely found in other document viewers. You can also rotate the document. A simple page navigation option with plain links to the corresponding pages is present.
View Docs Online: View Docs Online has a cool interface for viewing documents. The flash based interface has almost all useful features like zooming, selecting text and viewing pages as tiles. View Docs Offline also gives you an embed code for embedding to your website or blog.

It has a very beautiful interface and you’ll be given two options at the beginning, asking you to either convert or just view a document. Upload your file or give its URL and view it on the fly. The file format converter is also very impressive and gives good results.
