A resume is an integral part of any job application. If you don’t have much idea on writing proper resume, you go looking for some samples on the internet. If you are an avid LinkedIn user, you must have added your basic information with data on educational qualification, workplace etc. With tools like Newsweek’s career tree maker or LinkedIn’s Resume Builder, you can generate your basic profile info quickly and easily.
LinkedIn’s recently launched resume builder can build a resume with the data from your LinkedIn account. You can choose a template for the resume (there are three templates available) or Curriculum Vitae and then customize the content by arranging the sections of your profile in a certain order. The resume thus generated is printable and can be easily shared over Facebook or Twitter.
Another tool is the Newsweek’s “Career Tree Maker”. Open the career tree maker and link it with your LinkedIn account. Within a few seconds, a beautiful career tree is generated based on your LinkedIn profile. The more data you have on your LinkedIn profile, the denser your tree will be. You can optionally create a LinkedIn profile tree by manually filling the details on the Career tree form. This way, you won’t have to connect to your LinkedIn account.
These tools are really handy to generate a basic profile info from your LinkedIn account.
