You must have seen videos showing transitions between different moving faces. One famous example is the music video for the popular song Black or White by Michael Jackson. The video is brought a revolution in music video scenario and several other videos that used similar morphing techniques came out later. Back then in 1991 when the music video was created, the technology wasn’t very advanced and each photo was meticulously transitioned into the other. But now you too can create your animated biography with pictures from different phases in your life.

This software uses pictures and then gives transitional effect between two images. It takes up the animated sequence in such a way that it matches the other image. It then matches the persons position and facial expressions in the pictures. When done with hundreds of images, this software can produce amazing results.

A version of this morph software is also available in Google Picasa. Thus you can also have such morph animations for your pictures using this software.

Camouflage your Picasa ID http://techattitude.com/tips-tricks-and-hacks/hide-picasa-id-original/ http://techattitude.com/tips-tricks-and-hacks/hide-picasa-id-original/#comments Fri, 09 Jan 2009 07:41:01 +0000 http://techattitude.com/tips-tricks-and-hacks/hide-picasa-id/ You can disguise your Picasa Identity if you do not want others to know your real Google ID. You can disguise your Picasa Identity if you do not want others to know your real Google ID. Your Google username is generally shown in your Picasa Web Album address. Like if your Gmail ID is something like grungestar@gmail.com then your Picasa Web Albums Address will look like this:

http://picasaweb.google.com/grungestar/MyPics

hide picasa id You may not want to show you Picasa ID with others at times while sharing your pictures. Though Picasa lets you select a nickname, your ID will still be shown in the URL as shown above. But you can hide your original Picasa ID. Here’s how you do it.

Login to Picasaweb. Then click on Settings at the top. In the right hand side you’ll see a box that asks for your Gallery URL. There you’ll find a link saying “Want to add a new Google username?”. Clicking on this will take you to a page where you can provide an alternate username for your Picasa albums. Put anything you like which is available(i.e which is not taken by others). If you use a username like “myfriendpicasa”, your Gallery URL for Web Albums will look like this:

http://picasaweb.google.com/myfriendpicasa/MyPics

disguise picasa identity Now return to the previous page and then select the username you just created for your Web Albums.

This way you’ll able to hide your original Picasa ID from being known to others. What’s more interesting about this is that you can logon to your Gmail account using this username as well. This will be an alternate login id to your Google Profile. But you can add upto a maximum of four usernames. You can make this your primary username for logging in to Gmail if you think it is better than the one you were using previously. Don’t worry it is just for your use. You won’t receive any emails if someone sends a message to this ID (say myfriendpicasa@gmail.com).

So, you can hide your original Picasa identity and still share your pictures without a glitch using this trick. And also create a new username for your Google Account.

picasa for mac Till now the desktop application Picasa used for uploading photos to Picasa Web Albums was only available for Windows XP, Vista and Linux. Mac users were relying upon a standalone Picasa Web Albums uploader and iPhoto album plugin for uploading photos to their Web Albums. But with the release of Picasa for Mac, millions of people using Picasa Web Albums around the globe will be benefitted.

Picasa for Mac is much similar to the one available for Windows. All the features available in Windows version like cropping, correcting color balance and exposures, making collages etc. are available in the Mac version as well. Features like automatically detecting new bunch of photos added anywhere on your hard drive and then automatically accounting for the new images you add are also available.

The professionals at Google say that they have tried to make this version of Picasa for Mac to adjust healthily with iPhoto so that the iPhoto library will never be affected by Picasa. Right now this is being released as a beta product from the Google Labs. So some features like geotagging and third party printing will still not be available in this version.
